Detailed experience with Troubleflight

I submitted a claim for a denied boarding compensation back in March. The initial online form was clear and simple to fill out, asking for all the necessary flight details and passenger information. I uploaded my boarding pass and booking confirmation right there. After submitting, I received an email confirmation almost immediately, and then an update within about a week confirming they were pursuing the airline. The whole process for my EU 261 claim took roughly three and a half months, and I received regular email updates on the status, perhaps every three to four weeks. When it was successful, the payment transfer was prompt once I confirmed my bank details. Their support team answered a question I had about the commission structure within 24 hours. The service fee was clearly stated upfront, so no surprises there. My only minor suggestion would be for a more detailed tracking dashboard, but the email updates were sufficient.

So happy with my claim!

I had a nightmare flight delay last summer and thought I'd never see a penny. Troubleflight was amazing! I used their service for a cancelled flight compensation and it was so easy. They handled everything, and I got my money so much faster than I expected. I'm telling everyone about this service. Will definitely use them again if I ever have another flight issue!

Had a really long flight delay. Used Troubleflight for a retroactive flight claim. They got me compensation. Process was simple. Took a few months. No complaints.

Good service, bit slow

I used Troubleflight for a flight delay compensation claim from a trip last year. The process was straightforward to start, and I appreciated that it was a no win no fee service. They did eventually get me compensation, which was great. However, it took about 4 months from start to finish, which felt a bit long. Their communication was decent, but sometimes I had to wait a few days for updates. Overall, a solid service, but patience is definitely needed.

My flight was delayed into Dublin, but it was with a non-EU airline. Can Troubleflight still help with that or is it only for EU carriers?

K Kevin 2 months ago
Yeah, they can help! As long as the flight departed from an EU airport, it falls under the EU261 rules, even if the airline itself isn't European. That's what I understood from their info anyway.

I think it depends more on where the flight TOOK OFF from or landed. If it left from the EU, you're usually good. Check their calculator with your flight details, it'll tell you right away.

I'm trying to decide between Troubleflight and AirHelp. Anyone have experience with both or know which one is better for EU 261 claims?

T Troy D. 2 months ago
I've only used Troubleflight, but they were pretty good. My friend used AirHelp and had a slightly lower payout due to their fees, but that was a while ago.

Both are pretty similar from what I hear. Troubleflight's commission might be a tiny bit less, especially if you can find a referral code. But honestly, for EU261, both are usually solid. I'd check if one has a better offer or discount going on.

Are there ever any coupon codes for Troubleflight? Like for a first-time claim or something? Trying to save a few bucks on the fee.

N Nina 1 month ago
They don't usually do general promo codes like a regular store. Sometimes you can find referral links floating around that give you a small discount on their success fee.

I got a small percentage off through a friend's referral link once. That's probably your best bet. Keep an eye out for those or ask around if anyone has one.

Is Troubleflight actually legit? Like, I've seen a few of these services and some just feel a bit... scammy. Want to make sure my info is safe.

B Ben Nguyen 2 months ago
Totally legit. Used them for a canceled flight last year, got my money. No issues with my data or anything.

They're fine, I think. I mean, they only get paid if you do, right? So they have an incentive to actually win. Haven't heard any red flags about them being a scam, generally considered one of the better ones.

Hey, I'm looking at using Troubleflight for a delayed flight. Anyone know how long these things actually take? My flight was like 3 months ago.

J Josh F. 2 months ago
Mine took a couple of months from start to finish. They keep you updated though. It's not super fast but they handle all the annoying parts.

Yeah, it really varies. I had one that was resolved in about 6 weeks, another took closer to 4 months because the airline was being difficult. They do say it can take a while on their site, no guarantees on speed.
